Apply For a Solo or Group Exhibition

View welcomes submissions in all mediums including installation and outdoor works, but do not currently have the capacity to display video.

If you would like your work to be considered for a future exhibition, please email the following materials to the Gallery Committee at View:

  • A letter of proposal outlining the content and concept of the exhibit.
  • 8-10 high quality images that best represent the art work that you plan to exhibit. We will accept these images in .jpegs or .tiffs format via filesharing, email, or a link to your web page.
  • An artist statement.
  • A current resume with contact information.

After these materials are received, they will be presented to the Gallery Committee for review. The gallery committee only reviews work once a year and most exhibitions are planned 1-2 years in advance.

Please email these materials to Exhibitions Manager, Cory Card at ccard@ViewArts.org.

Henry M. Kashiwa Eco Gallery

The Henry M. Kashiwa Eco Gallery is a space dedicated to forging relationships and inspiration between the creation of art and our natural world. View seeks proposals for the Henry M. Kashiwa Eco Gallery that are conceptually concerned with ideas related to environment, location, ecology and natural history. Specifically those works that find relationships to the Adirondacks and their surrounding environs. Installations, interactive works, and educational elements are encouraged.

The Gallery itself contains a number of cornerstones such as a living garden with native plants, a cairn of native minerals, as well as a number of other objects that can be incorporated into the proposed work.

To apply for an exhibition in the Eco Gallery please send the following materials to Exhibitions Manager, Cory E. Card at ccard@viewarts.org with a subject line of Eco Gallery Proposal:

  • A letter of proposal outlining the content and concept of the exhibit.
  • 8-10 high quality images that best represent the art work that you plan to exhibit. We will accept these images in .jpegs or .tiffs format via filesharing, email, or a link to your web page.
  • An artist statement.
