Old Forge, NY (September 5, 2017) – View has announced that Neal Caine will be performing as part of the Danny Sinoff Quintet on Saturday, September 23. Caine currently plays bass on Harry, the television talk show, hosted by Harry Connick Jr. He also tours with his orchestra and quartet all over the world and has been doing so since 2000 when he was asked to join. Caine has also played with Diane Krall, Betty Carter, Benny Green, Russell Malone, Ellis Marsalis and other jazz greats.
The performance at View is part of ViewFest 2017, which encompasses the weekend of September 22, 23, and 24. Caine will perform as part of the Great Gatsby Dinner featuring the Danny Sinoff Quintet. Start your art obsession with a drink at Cocktails in the Gallery at 6:30 pm. Shift over to Gould Hall for a Great Gatsby themed dinner and a show at 7:30 pm, where Danny Sinoff and the band return to take you back in time with a performance of smooth standards from Sinatra and beyond. Tickets are $80 for members and $100 for non-members.
ViewFest combines scrumptious food, art, workshops, craft vendors, demonstrations, and lively, feel-good musical performances! The craft fair runs Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Local restaurants, delicious food, and artistic demonstrators will be on site Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The performances also include Dave Bennett and the Memphis Speed Kings on Friday, September 22, 2017, at 7:30 pm with a pre-show dinner available at 6:30 pm. Ferociously fun tunes and rockabilly classics played in breakneck rhythm and a dance floor!
A free non-denomination service and gospel performance by the Bells of Harmony takes place on Sunday, September 24 at 8:30 am, hosted by and Rev. Pamela J. Peterson from the Niccolls Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Rounding out the weekend will be an all you can eat buffet Jazz Brunch featuring entertainment from Dave Bennett and the Danny Sinoff Quintet at 10:00 am.
