On February 17, 2018, View Arts Center in Old Forge, New York hosted its 12th and most successful Annual Chili Bowl Luncheon.

This luncheon received more restaurant contributions and more table sponsorships than any other year as View and its volunteers served over 260 people in two hours.

This year’s chili, soups, and stews were donated by The Big Moose Inn, Walt's Diner, Great Pines, A Moveable Feast, The Original Kitty's, The Woods Inn, The Old Mill, DiOrio's, Randy's, Five Corners Café, Front Door Diner, Slickers Tavern, Mountainside Smokehouse, The Pickle Boat Grill, Steak House, Stillwater Hotel, The Tobaggan Inn, Ozzie's Coffee Bar, and Screamen Eagle/Matt's Draft House. Complementing the food, Fulton Chain Craft Brewery served samples of their Bear Road Coffee Stout and Breakfast Brown Ale.

“A big thank you to all those who contributed to this year’s Chili Bowl Luncheon,” said Hannah Wheaton, Director of Events at View. “Also, we can’t thank enough the volunteers who assisted in the changeover the night before,” Ms. Wheaton continued. “We would like to thank Laurie Montanye for getting together a dessert crew of Judy Pross, Linda Cook, Margo Boylan, Anne Garbarino, Ruth Brussel, Claire Oehler, Sheila Brady, Barb Proper, Tina Bradt, Leslie Bailey, Paula Weal, Deb Graydon, Cynthia Brownell, and our fantastic potters!”

Guests were served their meals in a variety of hand-crafted bowls by local potters, such as Chris Amar, Cynthia Brownell, Ann Boerger, Jean Card, Heather Caufield, Dennis DeStefanis, Scot Foley, Barbara Fry, Sue Girtler, Jessica Hannah, Page Hannah, Jennifer Potter Hayes, Marie Imundo, Janine Julian, Julia Liddle, Deb Munyan, Cindy Panella, Wendy Seifried, Mary Reeves, Bette Rintrona, Greg Rudd, Joe Strata, and Jeanne West.
