Pianist David Kim returns with a program featuring the works of Chopin, among them, some etudes, a ballad, and the Barcarolle, a deeply romantic work that seems to pass through blinding sunlight and serene starlight in exuberant emotion. Works of Liszt, Debussy, and Mendelsshon will complete the program. Pianist David Kim is originally from central New York, and a lover of the Adirondack region.
Kim has performed at the Crouse-Hinds Concert Theater, Steinway Hall, The Fogg Art Museum, and has been concerto soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra, the Syracuse Symphony, Utica Symphony, and the Clinton Symphony Orchestra of the Mohawk Valley.
