Whether you’re a fan of Broadway, classical, or even rock, this program of Andrew Lloyd Webber showstoppers has something for everyone. Along with Webber's music, Barber will sing an opera medley, music by Leonard Cohen, and a bit of Freddie Mercury. With an extraordinarily broad vocal range and natural fluency in many musical styles, countertenor Terry Barber has been featured on some of the world’s most storied stages and has worked with many of the music industry’s most prestigious figures.
This rare countertenor uses extraordinary vocal range, versatility, and a Masters degree in historically informed performance, to entertain. A truly international artist, Terry has been a soloist for the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, and Moscow’s Svetlanov Hall, to name a few. Terry particularly enjoys performing in acoustically beautiful spaces such as the Belfry Music Theatre (Delavan, WI), The Aeolian (London, Ontario), and The Sheldon Concert Hall (St. Louis, MO). Past member of the Grammy-winning group Chanticleer, his voice can be heard on every major record label with a range of artists from Madonna to the London Philharmonic. His most recent recording, a re-imagination of songs made famous by the band Queen’s lead singer, Freddie Mercury, was considered for 8 Grammy nominations.
