Instructor: Niki English
We will create a uniquely designed bandana or scarf using the natural dye and spice, Tumeric.
Shibori is a Japanese technique using folding, twisting, and binding to create a resist against the dye, leaving a design in the dyed fabric - similar to tye-dye, but with a rhythmic or intentional pattern. We will learn various techniques using found objects, cord, clothes pins, and other objects to create one-of-a-kind designs and learn natural dyeing methods.
No experience necessary, all ages welcome.
