In this workshop instructor Carol Marie Vossler, will teach the basics of the versatile medium of Papermaking, revealing the creative potential and possibilities to all students. During this accelerated 2.5 hour workshop, students will learn the techniques of Western-style hand papermaking using a mold and deckle.
Lessons will include breaking rag, pulp preparation, sheet formation in one and then two colors or pulp. Each person will create 5, 11”x 14” pieces of handmade paper. Your finished paper sheets will need a minimum of 24 hours to press and dry.

Covid Update: Due to current Covid-19 guidelines we are asking all interested students if you are fully vaccinated, as a part of our registration process. At this time you do not need to be fully vaccinated in order to participate in in-person workshops. This information will only be used for the View Center for Art and Culture to prepare proper seating for our classes in accordance with CDC and New York State guidelines. Masks and social distancing is required if you have not yet been fully vaccinated and or have not provided proof of vaccination to the front desk.
