Creative Instructing Opportunities at View:
View’s commitment to art education is evident in its extensive offering of workshops. The diverse offering includes fine arts, crafts, wellness, and culinary arts. The Meyda Tiffany & Lighting Creative Arts Wing includes a full commercial kitchen for catering and teaching; large classrooms; and a 1,600-square-foot state-of-the-art ceramics studio. View has regional, national, and internationally known instructors to assist students in honing their skills further enriching the vibrant culture of Central New York.

This is an invitation for artists and craftsmen who wish to bring instructing opportunities to View. The 2022 year still has openings for the additional workshops and classes, and we will be responding to submissions on a rolling basis.

Creative Classes and Workshop categories include but are not limited to:
Basketry: Melon Basket, Hiker Adirondack Backpack, Adirondack Bicycle Basket, Cocktail Napkin Basket
Culinary: Heart Healthy Cooking & Lunch, Stress-free Holiday Meal, Sushi Rolls and Sushi Bowls
Design and Illustration: Calligraphy
Drawing: Observation / Still Life, Pastel, Colored Pencil, College / Mixed Media, Nature
Fiber Sewing and Fashion: Quilting, Embroidery, Felting, Dying Techniques
Glass: Fused Glass, Stained Glass
Jewelry and Metal Arts: Wire Wrapping, Cutting, Soldering, Cold-Joining (the use of staples and rivets to assemble parts). More advanced decorative techniques include embossing, engraving
Paper: Book Binding, Paper Making
Painting: Watercolor, Acrylic, Oil, Plein Air
Performing Arts: Dancing, Screenplay
Photography and Video: Digital
Pottery/Ceramics: Hand building, Wheel Throwing, Extruding, Surface Design - Sgraffito, Slip Trailing, Underglaze, Image Transfer
Printmaking: Wood Block, Stencil
Sculpture and Woodworking: Chip Carving, Furniture Making
Wellness: Yoga, Zumba, Essential Oils
Writing: Creative Writing, Professional Writing, Memoir Writing, Publishing, Articulation, Secrets of Writing a Novel, Narrative Writing, How to Begin Writing

We currently use BMix 5, a white/buff cone 5/6 clay. All work will be fired by the studio management team.
