Instructor: Susan Whiteman
If you’ve been wanting to try pastels but have had no idea how to begin, or would like to add some new techniques to your pastel skill set, please join us for this three-hour workshop. The workshop will feature a demonstration and cover a broad overview of materials and applications, including wet and dry techniques. Participants should bring a selection of reference photos to work from (landscapes, animals, still- life subjects are all welcome) and a smock or apron.
Materials will be provided for students to create pastel studies during class, with some one-on-one assistance. Students are welcome to bring their own soft pastels and favorite work surfaces if they prefer.
