If you love painting plein air, but enjoy studio time for intimate detail, layering and blending, this is your workshop. When painting plein air, your reference is real life right before you, in the fresh air. This workshop allows that opportunity, without the pressure to complete your painting all at once. You’ll start the foundation of your painting outside, composing, capturing values, color studies, and photo references, then move inside, to continue building the beginning stages of your painting.
This workshop is for artist who have at least basic painting knowledge and some experience.
Please bring the materials you’re used to using:
Plein air easel, and oil painting supplies (oil paints, brushes, pallet, cleaner, etc.), brushes to be used with gesso and acrylic paint. Cell phone, ipad or other bluetooth camera.
Painting substrate will be provided.
