Explore collage by cutting, rearranging, and pasting found imagery. Investigate the possibilities of mixed media by drawing back into your collage with materials such as marker, charcoal, and crayon. Together, the marriage of collage and mixed media reimagines images that already exist in the world and creates a new fresh design.
About Carlie:
Carlie Sherry graduated with her Masters of Fine Arts in Painting at Syracuse University in 2015. Carlie has exhibited her work in Solo Exhibitions including Project Space at Creative York in York, PA and Apostrophes Art Gallery in Syracuse, NY. Group Exhibitions include the National Association of Women Artist Gallery in New York, and the Spinning Plate Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA. Carlie is an Adjunct Professor at both Pratt Munson Williams and Proctor Arts Institute and Utica College. Currently, Carlie lives in Utica, NY where she also runs her studio practice.
