Join renowned artist Diane Klock, for a beginners class focused around creating one of a kind watercolor sketches. Students will create a series of sketches based from location and from photos. Diane will start by leading in demonstrations in studio, and then guide the class to downtown Old Forge , to do some on location sketching if the weather permits. If the weather is poor, students are advice to bring along photos they wish to turn into watercolor sketches.
Students will be required to bring their own watercolor sketchbooks. A Canson Montval Field sketchbook size 7x11 inches, or Stillman and Birn Beta 8x10 or 9x12 inches are recommended.
Students will break for lunch around noon, and may either purchases lunch in town or pack their own. We also recommend students bring a folding stool, water bottle, and backpack as the class will be outside.

Due to current Covid-19 guidelines we are asking all interested students if you are fully vaccinated, as a part of our registration process. At this time you do not need to be fully vaccinated in order to participate in in-person workshops. This information will only be used for the View Center for Art and Culture to prepare proper seating for our classes in accordance with CDC and New York State guidelines. Masks and social distancing is required if you have not yet been fully vaccinated and or have not provided proof of vaccination to the front desk.
About Diane Klock: I am a self taught artist and have been seriously painting for 20 years .It has been both exciting and challenging. I started out painting in oils and have been fortunate to study with wonderful teachers who have taught me necessary skills and sparked a desire to learn and grow as an artist
