Instructor: Susan Whiteman
If you've been wanting to try pastels but have had no idea how to begin, or would like to add some new techniques to your pastel skill set, please join us for this dynamic half-day workshop. The workshop will feature a demonstration and cover a broad overview of materials and applications, including wet and dry techniques.
Participants should bring a selection of reference photos to work from (landscapes, animals, still- life subjects are all welcome) and a smock or apron.
If participants have their own soft-pastels or favorite work surfaces they are welcome to bring them.
Materials will be provided for students to create pastel studies during class, with some one-on-one assistance.
