In this workshop, students will learn to fabricate this poppy pendant, complete with its stamens. Use of jewelers’ saw, torch, files, drill and measurement of silver will be taught. Students will cut circle for the poppy, texture metal for the petals and melt sterling to form balls for stamens. Finally, they will solder stamens and drill hole for bail.
Students will leave with a completed pendant that will easily fit over their own chain! (Chains not included but will be available to purchase at the class)

Covid Update: Due to current Covid-19 guidelines we are asking all interested students if you are fully vaccinated, as a part of our registration process. At this time you do not need to be fully vaccinated in order to participate in in-person workshops. This information will only be used for the View Center for Art and Culture to prepare proper seating for our classes in accordance with CDC and New York State guidelines. Masks and social distancing is required if you have not yet been fully vaccinated and or have not provided proof of vaccination to the front desk.
About Tina: I am the owner designer of Serendipity Creations, a handcrafted artisan jewelry company founded in 2006. I sell my work at Art Festivals across New York and Florida, as well as galleries and retail stores across the country. I began intensive training in silversmithing in 2017 and have been working with sterling silver ever since. I started teaching silversmithing in 2018. I grew up in the Thousand Islands, but now summer in South Colton, New York and winter in New Smyrna Beach Florida.
