Silver Jewelry Class w/ Robert Moore

Instructor: Robert Moore

Robert will teach the fundamentals of silver jewelry making and introduce the various tools and their use. Shaping, cutting, forming, and soldering silver will also be covered. Beginners will create a pendant utilizing ancient symbols of the Celtic and Native American cultures. Each student will choose a symbol from several possibilities provided by the instructor that is meaningful to him/her and learn how to incorporate it into a pendant. Past students may choose to work independently on a desired piece. This class has a maximum of six students including two spaces reserved for past students. The goal of this workshop is for participants to learn new things, be creative and have fun.

About Robert:

Robert Moore began working with silver in 1974 as part of an art class in the Town of Webb School taught by Al Stripp and Carmen Losito. Robert has been leading workshops at View since 2012 and co-lead several workshops with Al Stripp at the former Arts Center.

This workshop starts on Thursday, January 9th, starting at 6:00 pm and ending at 9:00 pm. This class will run for 6 sessions.

$65/$60 Members, plus materials fee (a nominal fee, payable at the end of the course).
