A great class for beginners interested in working with clay and for those with previous hand building experience. Students will learn classic hand building techniques and approaches to create elegant and functional pieces. Each week a new project will be introduced bringing you one piece closer to building a functional tea set. Students will learn handbuilding techniques to form cups, saucers, and create your very own functional teapot! Projects will introduce new techniques and build on skills learned in previous sessions. Different types of clay and properties will be explained, as well as review of equipment and tools, and basic studio etiquette. All works created will be glazed and fired.
Space is limited to 10 students.
