View is the perfect place for Experienced Potters to throw on the wheel and hand build projects in a state-of-the-art Community Ceramic Studio with a gorgeous view of natural Adirondack nature and a warm and welcoming Pottery Community!
Independent potters are a valuable asset at View Arts Center. Many potters volunteer in our Annual Pottery Events by making bowls for both The Chili Bowl Luncheon in February and for View’s Annual Ice Cream Social in August. Potters also have the opportunity to sell their pieces at several consignment sales at View throughout the year. Independent Potters can sell their work during View’s Holiday Sale to showcase their talents!
Make an appointment with Elise Incze, Workshop Coordinator, at 315-369-6411 ext. 210 to learn more about this opportunity. This program is for experienced potters. It is recommended to take a class at View to experience the procedures and studio practices. If you have proficient pottery skill and experience, a review of your skill level and prior experience will be discussed to see that you are proficient enough to work independently. View offers an orientation that consists of 3 sessions for new experienced potters to introduce them to the procedures and processes of working in our studio.
