While View has its doors closed to help keep the community healthy, there’s no better time than now to be engaged with creative activities, so we want to offer some ideas! To that end, we’ll be posting tutorials and step-by-step guides once or twice a week over the coming months.
All of the included crafts will be using materials you likely already have at home, or if you don’t we’ll also provide links to where you can order them.
To start us off, here are three tutorials for projects you can do with different paper products you probably have lying around! Each of these include full instructions and materials lists.
Here we go!
1.
Origami Flowers from old magazines! This is a simple process for beautiful results, and the use of magazines makes for a lovely multi-color arrangement.

2.
Paper beads. This is another simple process for amazing looking results. Super fun and satisfying to see these come together.

[note: you can do this with any simple glue you might have around the house as a substitute for the Mod Podge in the tutorial. The Mod Podge is good for if you want to give your beads an especially glossy look, and you can pick up some brushes to apply it!]
3.
Recycled Paper Baskets. Slightly more involved than the two above, but these can hold anything from pencils, pens and scissors on a desk or counter to flowers and other decorations!

Send us photos of what you made! Take a photo and send to Workshops@ViewArts.org We’ll post all your submitted images on this page.
Have fun!
Sincerely,
The Team at View
