45th Annual Forge Festival of Arts & Crafts

July 2, 2017

View, Old Forge’s arts center, announces the return of the annual Forge Festival of Arts and Crafts, which hosts more than 40 skilled vendors and features an extensive assortment of food and hand crafted items. This year’s event, which is Sunday, July 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., is sponsored by Adirondack Bank. The festival will be located at Adirondack Bank’s parking lot at 108 Codling Street, which is right across from the Old Forge Public Beach.

Craft vendors include local jeweler, Mary Blanchard, and popular potters, Greg Rudd and Dean White, in addition to many others. There will also be a variety of food vendors offering more than 20 varieties of homemade fudge as well as fresh roasted nuts, squeezed lemonade and barbeque prepared on site.

“The festival gives people a unique shopping and dining opportunity to enjoy while they are experiencing Old Forge on the 4th of July,” says Deborah Ritz. “This location is perfect for anyone who want to stop and shop for snacks to bring on their boats or bring to a party--or for shoppers looking for unique hand-crafted items.”

Admission to the event is $3. Proceeds will benefit View. Free parking is available near by.
