Kathryn Greenwold has been quilting for over 30 years. Her quilting and needlework began with her grandmothers as a child, but it was a town sesquicentennial celebration in 1978 that began her serious quilting adventure. A friend recruited her to help design and create a quilt as part of the celebration. It was a success, and a life-long interest began. Kathryn has qualified as a quilt appraiser, offers a variety of instruction and design coaching, lectures, and is a quilt show judge. Her quilting classes include quilt repair and restoration, antique reproduction, ethnic piecing techniques, various appliqué techniques, and art quilt treatments such as fabric manipulation and surface alteration. Her lectures appeal to general audiences as well as quilting groups and guilds. She has been teaching for 16 years, and has been providing appraisal services for 12 years.
