Pochoir Printing:
Come be inspired by Moroccan and Art Deco cement tiles to create a unique design for printing on fabric. Use an updated version of this stencil printing technique to make custom fabric for your next quilting or sewing project. Instructor Jane Davila will teach you about registration for nearly perfect printing, repeat patterns, single and multi-color designs, and much more! You'll leave with 2-3 large pieces of original fabric and the knowledge to make more. A wide variety of tiles will be presented for inspiration.
Nature Print Pastiche:
Join Instructor Jane Davila, as she teaches you how to combine a variety of surface and printing techniques on fabric into small collage with hand stitching. Print leaves, veggies or fish onto fabric to create your main subject. Make your own blocks to print for a background, and to remove color in a discharging technique for fabric accents. Finishing your unique collage with big stitch quilting.
