Like photography, drawing and painting allows me to produce original personal records of meaningful experiences. Whether on the road or on the trail, there are numerous opportunities for discovering impressionable designs. The inspiration gained by the landscape of the Adirondack State Park provides me a lifetime of motivation for artistic expression with acrylics and oil paints, en plein air or in studio. The Park has an abundance of interesting compositions that can be translated into various styles and formats.
Artist’s who have inspired and influenced me include Rebekah Luther (my grandmother), Harold Weston, Frank Wilcox, Don Sahli, George Gallo, Georgia O’Keeffe, the French, American and Russian Impressionists.
