Join experienced instructor, Bob Stump, and explore the fundamentals of landscape painting outdoors in the open air. From start to completion, students will learn about design, composition, how to initialize a painting, value pattern, the five types of light & how to identify them. Techniques for seeing the landscape and interpreting shapes will be explained. Mixing paint, brush handling and materials will be covered. Through actual demonstration students will start and complete a small painting. Sources of materials and educational information will be discussed. Over the years, Bob has found some techniques and methods that enable him to paint the landscape with confidence. He strives to achieve a sense of realism and place in his paintings. For Bob, Plein Air Painting is all about the experience. This class is perfect for beginner to advanced painters that would like to learn how to paint outdoors.
Acrylic paint: cadmium red, ultra-marine blue, phthalo blue, cadmium yellow medium , burnt sienna, white x2

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made at least 10 days prior to the first day of a class can receive a 100% refund or can be exchanged for another class. Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the first day of class will not be refunded. In the event that View were to cancel a class, a full refund for the class will be issued.
