Overview

Spend an afternoon and evening around the Old Forge area with Carl Heilman as your guide and instructor. After a brief introduction and Q & A at View, the group will spend the rest of the afternoon and evening photographing the beautiful summer landscapes and waterways in the Old Forge area. A bonus for this photo tour is that the timing coincides with the once-a-month opportunity to photograph the rising full moon in the last light of day in the eastern sky, as sunset colors are glowing in the western sky. Weather permitting, we will be hiking Bald Mt. at the end of the day to photograph evening and sunset light, as well as the moon rising above Third Lake at 8:09 PM.

This tour is designed for those who are reasonably comfortable with their digital cameras and photo basics such as the relationship between aperture, shutter, and ISO settings.
