Overview

First held in Miriam Kashiwa’s front yard on makeshift chicken‑wire walls, this year’s Central Adirondack Art Show pays tribute to its humble beginnings as it celebrates its 75th anniversary. The exhibition showcases artists from across the Central Adirondack region and beyond. Open to creators age 16 and older working in any medium, the show welcomes all artists residing within 200 miles of Old Forge, New York.

 

Prizes will be chosen the week before and presented at the Opening Reception.

Join us for the Opening Reception on Saturday, March 21, from 4 - 6 pm. The reception is free and open to the public.

Juror of Awards

Heather Caufield is a multidisciplinary artist, who also serves as Artistic Director of the Woodstock School of Art (WSA). Heather graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in Art History and Museum Studies. Shortly after, she began working at View Arts Center where she progressed from Exhibitions Assistant to Visual Arts Manager during her tenure. In her current role at WSA, she leads the exhibition program and works directly with esteemed instructors to plan classes and workshops. In 2025 she served as the Juror for The Cooperstown Art Association's 90th Annual National Juried Art Exhibition and the 79th Twilight Park Art Show.


Her practice encompasses ceramics, printmaking, encaustic, and mixed media—work that is frequently exhibited throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. She has been featured in juried shows at venues such as the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum, Cooperstown Art Association, CREATE Council on the Arts, and Monument Gallery. She has been invited to group exhibitions, most recently in the Woodstock Monoprint Invitational Exhibition (Woodstock, NY) and Too Marvelous for Words (Kingston, NY).
