Ceramic Witch Hat Luminary

Get into the Halloween spirit by creating a whimsical Ceramic Witch Hat Luminary at View Arts Center! In this fun, hands-on workshop, you'll hand-build a charming witch hat that glows from within when illuminated by an LED tealight. Learn basic slab-building and hand-building techniques as you shape, texture, and decorate your unique piece with festive details, cutout designs, creative embellishments and colorful underglaze.

Whether you prefer spooky, elegant, or delightfully whimsical Halloween décor, you'll customize your luminary to reflect your own style. Perfect for beginners and experienced clay artists alike, this workshop is a great way to celebrate the season while learning new ceramic skills.

After the workshop, your luminary will be professionally fired and glazed, ready to brighten your home throughout the Halloween season for years to come. No prior clay experience is necessary.  Kids under 12 are welcome with a responsible adult.  All materials and tools are included in the costs of the workshop.  

Workshop Registration Policy

To ensure adequate preparation time and materials for both View and the instructor, registration will close 7 days before the scheduled workshop date.  We encourage early registration, as space is limited.  

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 10 days prior to the first day of a class will receive a 100% refund, or can be exchanged for another class.  Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the first day of class can only be exchanged for another class.  No refunds or exchanges will be made for failing to show up to class without prior notice.  

In the event that View were to cancel a class, a full refund for the class will be issued.
