Clay Therapy - Open Studio for experienced potters

Are you an experienced potter who needs a space to work on occasion?  Do you not have to time to commit to the independent potter program?  Would you like to check out View's amazing pottery studio without any commitment?  We have the program for you.  

Join us for "Clay Therapy"!  On the 2nd Thursday of every month between 1pm and 7pm we will open our beautiful pottery studio to adults with pottery experience.  You can come in and throw on the wheel or hand build.  You are welcome to use any of the View's pottery equipment that you are familiar with.  We currently have 10 Brent wheels (one is a standing wheel) available on a first come, first use basis.  We have 2 Bailey slab rollers for hand building.  5 large tables for hand building and glazing workspace.  There are 3 plaster wedging tables for clay prep and reclaiming.  We have both a pneumatic and manual extruder with many dies.  We have a vented spray booth for glazing along with a fantastic pallet of colorful, food safe, dipping glazes.  There is access to colored slips and underglazes as well as numerous hand building tools and molds.  There will be a knowledgeable studio staff member here to answer questions and supervise.  Included in your six hour studio time is 5 pounds of Tucker's Mid Smooth White cone 6 clay.  More clay can be purchased if needed for $20 per 22 pound bag.  Firing tickets are required for both bisque and glaze firing.  Tickets cost $1.50 each and are based on work volume.  The average size mug is approximately 2 tickets per firing.  Loading and unloading of kilns is done by studio staff.  This is a time to work on independent projects, there will be staff here to answer questions, but no formal instruction.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 10 days prior to the first day of a class will receive a 100% refund, or can be exchanged for another class.  Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the first day of class can only be exchanged for another class.  No refunds or exchanges will be made for failing to show up to class without prior notice.  

In the event that View were to cancel a class, a full refund for the class will be issued.
