Overview

Well known artist and instructor, Joanne DeStefano, will lead this hands on watercolor workshop here at View on Saturday, August 15th from 10am to 2pm.  The main objective of this workshop is to teach the beginning watercolorist that watercolors are a fun spontaneous medium.  Unlike oils or acrylics, they enable the artist to be free as the water interplays with the pigment to form "happy" accidents and successful paintings.  As a result of the many classes that Joanne was involved in as a student, she became determined that she would teach, starting with the very simple basics.  How to actually mix the colors, etc. sometimes answering questions ahead of time that the beginning student was always afraid to ask.  Joanne strives to make watercolor fun, creative, not an added stress.
