Overview

This 6-week multi-level wheel throwing class, taught by View's own Kristen Martin, is designed for both beginners and returning potters who want to continue developing their skills. New students will learn the fundamentals of centering, pulling walls, and creating basic forms like bowls and cylinders, while more experienced participants can refine techniques, explore new shapes, and focus on improving consistency and craftsmanship.

With guided demonstrations and individualized instruction, this class allows everyone to work at their own pace while expanding their pottery skills. Whether you're trying the wheel for the first time or returning to strengthen your practice, this supportive studio environment offers the perfect space to learn, experiment, and create.

This is a 6 week class, meeting weekly on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm.  The first 3 hours will be demonstration and hands on instruction followed by an optional 2 hours of supervised practice/open studio time.  Clay, as well as 10 firing tickets are included in the cost of the class.  Additional firing tickets may be required.  Kids 14 and older are welcome.
