Winter Open Call for View Member Artists

Calling all View Member artists! Share your work in our upcoming Winter Open Call exhibition at View Arts Center.

Artists are invited to interpret the winter season in their own unique way. Artwork may explore winter landscapes, snow and ice, seasonal wildlife, winter activities, holiday traditions, or the feelings, colors, and moods associated with the colder months. From literal depictions of winter to abstract interpretations inspired by the season, all creative approaches are welcome!

Artwork may be dropped off or shipped to View. All shipped submissions must include a prepaid return shipping label.

Eligibility:

• You must be a View Member to participate.
• There is no submission fee to enter.
• Artists may submit up to two original artworks in any medium, 2D or 3D, that fit the winter theme. 
• Artwork must be listed for sale. The commission rate is 65%/35%, 35% to View.
• Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible.
• View is a public non-profit art center open to everyone; as such, the content of submissions should be appropriate for all visitors.
• There is about 35 feet of space in the gallery available for artwork from this call.
• Artwork must be suitably framed and wired, and be ready for installation.
• Artists must complete the entry form attached for each artwork submitted.

Terms of Entry:

• All submitted works may be photographed and used for publicity purposes.
• Artwork must be listed for sale. The commission rate is 65%/35%, 35% to View.
• Artwork unclaimed by May 31, 2027 will become the property of View, unless other arrangements are made for pickup.
• Reminder: Please label your artwork appropriately, with your name and artwork title before drop-off!

Delivery:

• Work can be dropped off at View’s front desk during gallery hours until Friday, December 4, 2026 (10am - 4pm Monday to Saturday).
• View is unable to store packing materials. All materials used in the delivery of
  artwork must be removed from the premises once the work has been delivered.
• Please coordinate a date and time to pick up your work at the end of the exhibition.

Shipping:

• View also accepts shipped work.
• Artists must notify View of their shipped work via email to Gina Colosimo at gcolosimo@viewarts.org
• All shipped works must arrive no later than: December 4, 2026
• Please include a prepaid shipping label for the return of your work.

Artist Key Dates:

• Artwork Receipt Deadline: December 4, 2026
• Exhibition Dates: December 11, 2026 - March 6, 2027
• Winter Opening Reception: December 11, 4-6 PM
• Artwork Pickup Dates: March 8-10, 2027, 10 AM to 2 PM
• Artwork Return Shipping Date: March 10, 2027
