Overview

How do you plan a book? What are the important basics to know before you start writing, and after?

A great, publishable book is built on a crisp concept and a focused understanding of your audience. If you're just starting, have a manuscript in the works... or your just "mulling over an idea", this is a workshop for you.

We'll start out exploring your writing ideas. Come with 1 or more concepts for a book of fiction, a memoir, a book of personal essays, or a self-help book. Share your ideas and get helpful, constructive response from other writers and a veteran author and publishing consultant. We'll also discuss the critical importance of knowing your audience and their needs and interests, and how that helps you in the development of your writing.

What you'll take away:  Helpful tips and recommendations, and a sharper focus for continuing to plan and develop your book.

After attending this workshop, you can send up to 10 pages of a book in the works and receive a professional evaluation and pointers.

This class will be held via Zoom.  After registration, the instructor will send you a Zoom link for you to attend this online class.
