Overview

In recognition of the 250th anniversary of America's Declaration of Independence, View will screen the Ken Burns two-part, four-hour documentary, Benjamin Franklin.  This thoughtful biographical film explores the revolutionary life of one of the 18th century's most consequential and compelling personalities, whose work and words unlocked the mystery of electricity and helped create the United States. Franklin's 84 years (1706-1790) spanned an epoch of momentous change in science, technology, literature, politics, and government — fields he himself advanced through a lifelong commitment to societal and self-improvement.

The screenings are FREE to attend. Part 1 will be shown on Monday, February 16 at 7pm and Part 2 will be shown on Monday, March 2 at 7pm. A cash bar and popcorn will be available.

This will be the first in a series of documentaries screened throughout the winter/spring season.  Please check our schedule to see what else is coming up.
