The Last Five Years

The story of The Last Five Years explores a five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress.  This award-winning musical is structured in a novel way, with Jamie's side of the story unfolding in chronological order, beginning just after he and Cathy meet, and Cathy's unfolding in reverse, beginning with the end of their marriage.  The characters do not directly interact except for a wedding song in the middle of the performance, as their reverse timelines intersect.

Tonight's presentation of The Last Five Years is a production of The Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts.
