Halloweek Spooktacular

Join View for our inaugural Halloween Week, running from October 22-30, of special events, workshops, and our 2nd annual signature Halloween Party.  

October 22 
6:00 pm - Gary Lee will lead a tour around the Wetland Walkway, telling ghost stories as he goes. Tour will last ~15 minutes

Price of admission is $3 per person or $10 for a family (whichever is less)

October 24 

4:00-6:00 pm - The Annual Central Adirondack Association Pumpkin Carving Party is coming back to View.  Pumpkins are free to carve.

October 25 & 26

4:00-6:00 pm - Halloween/Fall-Inspired Felt Bowls Workshop
Monday evening students will be introduced to the process of wet felting, and will create their own wet felted bowl through step by step instruction. Once the bowls are rolled out and shaped, they will be left to dry out overnight. Tuesday evening students will return to their dried out bowls, and begin to learn the technique of needle felting. Once they have a design in mind, they will felt images onto their fall inspired bowls.  $50 members, $60 non-members

5:30-7:00 pm - Witchy Women's Wednesday Night Out - Besom Broom Making Workshop
We're bringing back our Ladies Night Out with a holiday twist.  Drinks will be available as those attending will be making brooms from locally sourced sticks and branches. All materials including decorating ribbons and fall garlands will be provided. Students are welcome to bring any decorating material they wish to incorporate into their brooms as well. $25 for members, $35 for non-members (prices include 2 drink tickets)

October 28

7:00 pm - Join us for a special screening of classic horror silent film, Nosferatu.  Free Admission.  Popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase.

October 29

2:15-4:15 pm - Trick-or-Treating at View
We welcome kids to come in to Trick-or-Treat at different stations set up in View, giving out candy and other goodies.  Free to all kids. Everyone can get a sneak peak of the decorations for the Wicked Witches' Woods Halloween Party.   

October 30

7:30-10:30 pm - Wicked Witches' Woods Halloween Party
View will be transformed into a Wicked Witches’ Woods for View's 2nd Annual Halloween Party and will feature a cash bar, with some Halloween-themed specialty cocktails, light appetizers, music by DJ Ed Tondryk, and, of course, a costume contest, with View Prize Packages going to Best Male Costume, Best Female Costume, and Best Couple/Group Costume. Due to the alcohol at the event, the party is for ages 21 and over.

The party is free to the public, is part of the newly expanded, week-long Hallowed Forge Pumpkin Party, and is being co-sponsored by the Central Adirondack Association.
