Plein Air Paint Out '24

Calling All Plein Air Painters!

View Arts Center in Old Forge invites you to join dozens of artist friends and colleagues for three days of plein air painting in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Registration is free and participating artists agree to donate a plein air painting for inclusion in the live auction fundraiser on Saturday, August 24.

Highlights include:

• Complimentary continental breakfast and “grab & go” lunch provided on Thursday and Friday.
• Thursday morning welcome: introduction and overview of painting locations and event opportunities
• On Friday evening, join fellow artists and hosts for a delicious Artists’ Appreciation Dinner, including awards of cash and product prizes for those who enter the Plein Air competition.
• Participating artists may display two paintings in View’s lobby for consignment sale (65/35) during the Plein Air Paint Out.
• Limited host housing is available on a first come, first served basis. We can also recommend local motels, inns, and campgrounds.

Additional Information

We create and distribute an Art Auction Program to all auction attendees that includes 100 word (max!)bios of participating artists. Please prepare your bio, share insights about what inspires you, and your approach to plein air painting. Your registration is not complete without it!
