2026 Quilts Unlimited
This year’s juried exhibition will feature quilts created by some of the country's finest quilters and fiber artists working today. The quilts on display demonstrate a range of techniques and designs, from traditional quilting to contemporary art quilts. Each stunning quilt reflects the artist's commitment to design, creativity, and skill. The result is an extraordinary exhibition of quilts.
CALL FOR ART:
Submissions are welcome from all quilters working in Art, Bed, or Wall quilts. Bed & Wall Quilts require stitching to go through all three layers of a quilt. Art Quilts require stitching to go through three layers of the quilt. Kit quilts and hand-tied quilts are not eligible. All entries require attribution given to the pattern designer if applicable, and personal execution created within the past 4 years. Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible.
Juror of Selection: Sue Cortese
Sue Cortese is quilt artist who lives in Holland, Michigan. Her medium is the quilt form, her process starts with white fabric. She has been creating sewn compositions with her hand dyed fabric and quilting them since 1995. The combination of layers, pattern, and texture add to the work, keep her playing and exploring. From start to finish, her work incorporates the many techniques she has learned over the years: dyeing and printing her own fabric, piecing and appliqué, machine and hand quilting, and various finishes. Recently adding shibori manipulated, indigo dyed fabrics. Sue has also started working in paper and mixed media collage. Her work has been displayed in quilt shows and art museum around the country. She teaches various dyeing and quilting techniques. Sue is a board member of the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA), as well as a Certified Quilt Judge through NACQJ. suecortesequilt.com
