Barn Quilt Painting with Sara Meays

Join us for a morning full of creativity and fun while you paint your own 2'x2' barn quilt!

Barn quilts replicate traditional fabric quilt patterns and are a unique decor for anywhere in your home! Your barn quilt will be weatherproof and ready to display indoors or out! Barn quilts have been growing in popularity over the last several years, and while they were once only found on barns, they are now found on porches, sheds, camps, garages and houses, as well as an indoor decor. The display options are unlimited!

The barn quilts created in this class will be painted on a wooden signboard and primed and painted with exterior latex paints. Upon registration, you will be emailed pattern and color options to choose from. The patterns will be beginner level and include 3 colors. All materials and supplies will be included in the cost of the class.

Sara Meays is a 6th grade teacher at the Town of Webb who has been painting barn quilts for nearly 10 years. In that time she has painted hundreds of barn quilts that have found homes not just in northern New York, but throughout the United States! She enjoys combining math and art together to create an endless variety of painted quilt blocks. She is eager to share this relaxing artform with anyone excited to explore their creative side, including beginners!

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 10 days prior to the first day of a class can receive a 100% refund or can be exchanged for another class. Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the first day of class will not be refunded.  In the event that View were to cancel a class, a full refund for the class will be issued.
