The Old Forge Community Chorus presents, America Sings: A Celebration of our Musical Heritage

Under the direction of Ingrid Narken, The Old Forge Community Chorus has prepared a program of truly American music!  From patriotic anthems, to Gospel Spirituals, from folk tunes to show tunes, this concert has something for everyone!  Bookended with our nation's anthem and "America the Beautiful," the line up includes "Shenandoah," and "Shall We Gather By the River," but, also Broadway favorites, "The Impossible Dream" and Wicked's "For Good,"  as well as jazz favorites, "Java Jive" and "I Got Rhythm."  And no patriotic program would be complete without a rousing medley from the "Yankee Doodle Dandy" himself, George M. Cohan!! 

So come to View and feel "The Spirit of '76" and the rhythm of the last two and a half centuries of America's melodic history!

This concert is free to the public, but donations are gratefully accepted for the purchase of music for future concerts!
