Stephen Saracino is a Professor of Metalsmithing Design at Buffalo State College. His metalwork has been exhibited in eighty-eight galleries and museums throughout the United States and in Japan and has been included into public and private collections.
For two years he was Director of SUNY’s long-running overseas program in Siena, Italy. More recently his studio endeavors have turned to an extensive study of Political and Social themes that contemporize issues while keeping a jewelry idiom to inform his narrative. His research resulted in a series of works that have been exhibited nationally in exhibitions relating to themes of the pervasive violence taking place domestically in the United States and throughout the world.

Saracino’s work is presently on exhibit at View in the New York State Juried Sculpture Exhibit through March 27, 2021. His pieces in the exhibition have won first place and honorable mention.
